At The Total Look we strive to be a professional warm and welcoming salon. Our story is unique, it is one of grateful transformation, good ole fashion work ethic, attention to detail, and giving the love and attention that each client deserves.
Our journey has been shaped by all of our unique talents and specialties, along with a diverse clientele ranging from the very young to the young at heart. We aim to please every client with an approach of kindness and welcoming conversation, listening to your every need.
The Total Look has cultivated an environment rich with education and opportunities for our team to thrive. This envirnonment has led the salon to be dedicated to providing exceptional service for all of its clients.
We offer a variety of haircuts for men, women and children, all your color and hi-light needs, full body waxing, lash bar and tinting, hair extensions, perms, Jane Iredale mineral and air brush make-up, special occasion styles for your special events, and on-site hair and make-up. We also offer full service skin care and facials, oncology safe facials, peels, dermaplaning, and customized facials for men and women.
A Note from Salon Owner, Shereé McNease
At the young age of 23, a vision of becoming a salon owner began as a dream of thoughts and ideas. I had been surrounded by many of my loved ones in the art of creativity in many aspects of the art and beauty industry. I knew as a young girl that I would work in a salon one day. I started in my bathroom at home practicing on my sisters, cousins, and whoever else wanted to get in line!
I had the opportunity to work in a barber shop in Lafayette, Louisiana before moving to Lake Charles. I was working alongside some very talented, creative businessmen & women that inspired me and molded me to become the business owner and stylist that I am today. I soon realized that God had given me the tools necessary to move on and grow myself and continue to serve my clients doing what I love to do.
I quickly put into action all of the pieces and it all came together. At 24 years old I became a salon owner on June 15, 1993! I leased a building and staffed 5 stylist and 1 nail technician. From our opening day, we quickly became family, an environment I always envisioned.
We stayed at that location for 6 years, and in 1999 we moved into a newly built salon that I designed from the ground up. I had the amazing opportunity to be the very first salon in Lake Charles that was designed in every detail to fit everything we needed to function as a top-notch salon in the lake area.
Our vision was to be a salon that caters to all the needs of one’s well-being. I have been extremely blessed throughout all of the ever-changing beauty world that my Salon has been staffed with amazing stylist. Moving into the next big shift, we continue to grow, catering to the needs of our clients. We now offer full body waxing, lash lift and brow tint, customized skin care, and hair and make-up in the salon or on location for special events. These last 27 years have passed very quickly, and we are extremely grateful for the many years of love and support from our family and friends. We look forward to continuing to serve you for many more years to come.
